Tennis, bad couting distance?

I tried indoor tennis. Duration 1:45 h. During the activity more than 3500 steps. But the distance is only 0.06 km. How is this possible? The treadmill works well. Jogging in an indoor circuit as well. But not tennis. Is it because IS 2 does not have a gyroscope?

It may seem obvious, and I may have missed it somewhere in this thread, but have you checked you definitely have GPS turned OFF for the activity?

When You start the Tennis activity, it explicitly asks, if outdoor or indoor, so if You choose indoor, the GPS is off.

That's right, he asks if there is tennis indoors or outdoors. YES, it's off.

There is now another solution available, although not free - Garmin just released the new HRM-Pro Plus chest belt, that besides others also measures the distance at indoor activities (with the help of an accelerometer and a gyro), similarly as some foot pods can do.
