hello
I post a new topic to help all people who will have the same issue (and every new buyer will have it... at the beginning, let me explain)
I bought 2 watches because the 1st one had a problem, the green led lights should stop when the power saver mode is activated, but it doesn't.
I have opened a 1st topic in the forum and no solution was found, some people confirm the problem in their side too, at the end i was told that it is neither a hardware issue nor a software issue... so i abandonned and returned the watch because the battery life was not really optimised during the power saver mode.
I thought it was a faulty watch so i bought an other one (without solar screen this time), i was very disappointed and frustrated to encouter exactly the same issue.
I opened a 2nd topic to notify it, some people tryed to help me (i thank them) but no solution and no official answer from the staff.
Today, i checked the settings and all parameters that could conflict with the HR running.
during the power saver mode i tryed to launch an activity in disabling the HR. i checked that the green leds were off. and they were OFF.
I quicly stopped the activity, and the green led stayed off.
I disabled the power saver mode, the green light turned ON, and finnaly when i enabled again the power saver mode, the green light turned finally OFF.
Maybe the solution is to launch for the 1st time an activity
Maybe the solution is to launch at least 1 time an activity without the HR sensor
Maybe the solution is to launch an activity without the HR sensor during the power saver mode
If someone from Garmin could note this to fix the issue for the next firmware it could save people from trouble and maybe prevent people to return their product
I am very happy to have found this very weird solution.
