AHAHAH after an issue --> 1st watch returned back --> 2nd watch bought --> same issue lol

lol is it a joke?

i bought an instinct 2 solar. the issue i had (i created a topic in this forum) is that the green light doesn't stop when i wear the watch and when i activate the power saver mode.

some members of the forum had the same issue, but a staff member of garmin and an other member of the forum said that in their case the green light stops.

Since the behavior of my watch was not the same and no solution was found, i returned it back to the shop.

i bought a new one from amazon this time, but non-solar, the 1st thing i wanted to test is the green light.

does it stop or no if i activate the power saver mode and the watch is on my wrist?

answer: ==> NO !!!!

LOL, either i am not lucky at all and i receive only faulty watches, or this watch has a serial fault and this is not serious from garmin, or this is the normal behavior and the persons who told me that their green light stops in the power saver mode is not the truth.

yes this can be done but it is supposed to be stopped also with the power saver mode. the fact that it is not the case indicates…

If you have pay set-up the green light stays on. You can stop it if you disable heart rate in health and wellness.

I cannot comment on pay (Garmin Wallet?), but when I turn battery saver on in my Instinct 2 Solar Tactical, the green light stays off. I assume you made sure that heart rate monitoring is deactivated in your energy saving profile ("turn off")?

my new watch is the non solar version so no pay included, and in my 1st i haven't activated it.

i don't know what you mean with this energy saving profile, but the Power Manager > Battery Saver > Edit > wrist heart rate is/was off

If this is your first time owning one of these Garmin watches, then chill it will be eventually fixed. If you’re a repeat customer, then shame on you. You bought a newly released watch, that’s software based. These watches ALWAYS have glitches in the beginning…ALWAYS. Did you think this would be different?

I bought the Descent G1 that’s also based on the GI2, fully knowing the potential issues and it does. If the current issues bother me enough, I’ll return the watch. Otherwise I will be patient and wait for the eventual fixes.

and when you say the watches always gave glitches in the beginning, can we consider that the instinct 2 should be an upgrade of the instinct 1, so that it is not its begining time?

what is difficult to understand is that if it is really a software problem, why some people have not the problem (see the 1st replies of this topic)? the same software should lead to the same behavior.

in fact, when i turn off the Power Manager > Battery Saver > Edit > wrist heart rate parameter the green leds blink quickly and are less brighter, if i set it to not change, the green leds are brighter and don't blink its a continuous light

should i return it and this time don't buy a new one any more?
