Different problem. If you've got data on the watch then clearly the watch is recording sleep data. The OP's watch wasn't recording sleep data.

You need to work out why the data is not transferring…

This is exactly the problem I am having also. Did you ever get this resolved? Battery saver is not on, I suspect I paused a breathwork activity. I just can't seem to access activities with the gps off…

Do you have Battery Saver enabled over night? If so you need to edit it so that WHR is set to Don’t Change. Assuming you have WHR on generally.

How do you set your sleep time in your watch? You probably also have the latest SW, don't you? What is displayed on the sleep widget and in the GC?

last 4 days similar problem - no sleep in Connect, but on the watch there are sleep data

Different problem. If you've got data on the watch then clearly the watch is recording sleep data. The OP's watch wasn't recording sleep data.

You need to work out why the data is not transferring to Garmin Connect. Do you have more than one Garmin watch? Is the Instinct set as Preferred Activity Tracker? Does other data sync to Garmin Connect ok?

The only thing that worked for me was a factory reset of the watch.

Hello. I am sorry to hear you are having this issue. For sleep tracking, I would recommend trying these steps:

Ensure the watch is on the latest software version using Garmin Express.
Ensure you are wearing the watch snug, but not too tight.
Ensure you do not have battery saver enabled during sleep.
Here are some additional recommendations: Advanced Sleep Monitoring Watch Compatibility

If this is still not tracking sleep, I would recommend trying a hard reset. For this, hold the Control button until the watch shuts off, as opposed to selecting power off. Then power this on again.

If the issue continues, you can also try a factory reset with these steps:

Ensure the watch is powered off.
- You may need to hold CONTROLfor up to 30 seconds to turn the watch off.
Press and hold SET and GPS.
Press CONTROL to power the watch on while holding these two buttons.
After the first beep release GPS.
After the second beep release the remaining button.
