hello. I wanted to ask if anyone has the surf edition and has tested it well. does it make good measurements? Or is he still bad like instinct 1 surf?
If someone can put photos of the wave tours?
Thanks

Hey. I have the Instinct Surf 2 and have only tried it twice at a wave pool. It was hit and miss - a few times it got the waves, and a few times it got a pretty squiggly line outside of the pool area which was definitely not the wave. It actually undercounted the waves which I know is the opposite to the issues previous Instinct users were having.
I'll test it out in the sea to see how it fairs over the next month. I can see it working better on long point breaks.
Here's a screenshot of the activity.
...and I just learned that there is something called a 'wave pool' :)
hello. Thank you If you can put more photos when you do more surfing. Thanks
have you done more tests? How are you? can you upload more screenshots? thank you
Hey! I've surfed a lot over the last few months and sometimes it's good and sometimes poor.
I've noticed when the surf is clean and period long, you have more time to rest between sets and your arm tends to be out the water more before you catch a wave (sitting on board), so the GPS catches on better, and the track is good.
When you're doing more paddling in a busy lineup, however, it tends to track the waves less accurately as your arm is constantly going underwater and the GPS accuracy is lost.
Overall, I'd highly recommend the watch and Surf activity for giving you a good indication of your surf sessions, even if it's just to track duration and heart rate! What really matters is being in the ocean and having fun ;)
