Garmin Instinct 2 Solar notification problem

Same problem here as Fenix7. Just Calls selected for smart notifications, but watch continues to show every notification (gmail, sms, facebook mesenger, outlook.....) . Maybe it will help you if i mention- just Viber is OK. I have latest update 6.12.

Beleive me it is very annoying... I'm receiving about 60-70mail a day....

Problem still exists for me using software Version 6.16. Smart Notifications enabled for General Use only Calls enabled. Notifications for Text messages and Emails still showing up. Using a android device. During Activity Off. Will disable all notifications for now but I believe this problem still exists.

It is OK with iPhone (ios 15.3.1)

Calls and Messages enabled

Apps disabled

I have the same problem, all notification for apps and text are set to off, only calls are left. Instinct 2 Solar - FW version 7.03, phone - iPhone 11 Pro. This drives me crazy, especially when working out. I don't understand how garmin can not resolve this. The only way I do not receive notifications, when the calls are off too, but I need calls to be on.

When will this be fixed? I still get a notifications from apps despite selecting "calls only". Latest watch and ios firmware.

But I have this issue on my iPhone with latest OS 15.4.1. Interestingly my coleague also have Instinct 2 Solar, but his is Surf edition and he uses it with iPhone. He does not have this problem. But I previously used Vivoactive 4S and did not encountered this problem (I set notifications to calls only and received only calls), but my Instinct 2 Solar has it. All notifications are set to calls only, but I still receive status notifications from other apps as well. Even if I switch on all the notifications with tone and vibro and then just turn off status, in that case I get the tone and vibro. Something is off with these smart notifications on Instinct 2, I don't want to get them, but I still want to receive calls.

This is a different issue that I have found is fixed as of firmware 8.07. if you can't wait you can try the beta software above. Or wait for full the release which I expect is soon. I will say I am on Android though though so can't promise it is fixed on iphone
