No Steps Data Field? Seriously?

I was very excited to finally find Exercise Load and other performance metrics now available on my Instinct 2 Solar Tactical. But when I went to set up my first Hike Activity, I could not find the "Steps" data field. I double checked the Owner's Manual, but it really is not available.

Please, Garmin, can the Steps Data Field be instituted on the Instinct 2 series watches?

Probably the connect IQ field will be available eventually once the developer makes it available/compatible…

Is that not the same as the Instinct before? The only steps available was on the main screen (daily total). Seems odd they don't add this feature that is again available in every other smart watch/band that I've used. One of the more minor issues though.

None of the watches have it FYI, even the fancy ones. Yes they should have it on all watches.

Probably the connect IQ field will be available eventually once the developer makes it available/compatible.

Steps to Fit, isn't available for the instinct yet, but works well.

Instinct 1 did not have one either. It would be handy if you're trying to achieve a step goal and are using a hike/walk activity.
