Merge two running activities together?

Was out running a 42k today. After 29k i stopped the activity for a short period(drink and stretch). Pressed the wrong button and saved it..Had to start a new activity for the last 13k. Result: two activities..

Manage to export both activities and merge to one file. Don’t remember the name of the online service.. Imported the new file to GC. Now i got 3 activities..

the new 42k activity does not contain all the information from the run. It does not provide me with the badge for maraton or longest run. The 42k activity does not show on watch, only in Garmin connect..

any fix for this???

Lost my first marathon on the watch!!

As mrnets mentioned, fitfiltools works most of the time, unless there is another issue with the files, then it might take a different tool such as Fit File Repair Tool. If you have any trouble, you can…

Fitfitetools has worked every time for me. easy and seemless, If you really want you can copy the resultant fitfiletols file to your watch activity folder.

Yes, except if it is a badge for a challenge that already ended and was closed.

There are no activities in the root folder. Activities are in the subfolder //GARMIN/Activity/

Once you imported the activity into GC, there is no need to keep them on the watch, they can be deleted, unless you want to reuse them for example for navigation. If you need the merged file there, delete originals in //GARMIN/Activity/ and place the new one to //GARMIN/NewFiles/. Renaming is not necessary.

Then you will have to wait for seilogramp who can merge the files with a more advanced app.

As mentioned earlier, be sure to delete the original 29 km run. It has the same starting time as the merged file, so Garmin will reject the merged activity as a duplicate.
