Fenix 7 Up/Menu botton stop working

Hello, I have a Fenix 7 standard fw 21.19 and from yesterday I have a problem with this button, I tried to put the watch in hot water to clean, but nothig is changed.
If I push the botton it make the “clic” sound than it fisically work, but the comand doesn’t work.

I haven’t tried a reset because the reset is in the setting menu and the botton doesn’t work.. anyone that have a suggestions for this issiue?

    If you want to give the reset a try you may test the Hard Reset using the Three Button Method:

    1. Hold the watch with the two buttons facing down so that you can hold down…

  • Hi, I have the same issue from yesterday 23.08 β software version. I turned on the touch screen in order to use the watch but the start stop button isn't respond. I reset to default with no luck...also warm water nothing change...

    If you want to give the reset a try you may test the Hard Reset using the Three Button Method:

    1. Hold the watch with the two buttons facing down so that you can hold down the two buttons with your thumbs:
    2. Make sure the watch is turned off the hard way by press and hold of the LIGHT/POWER BUTTON for up to 30 seconds (showing "The Reel" & "Garmin Help" in between, keep pressing) until it is off.
    3. Press and hold the BACK and START/STOP buttons.
    4. Press the POWER BUTTON to turn on the watch while holding these two buttons.
      1. After the first beep, release START/STOP.
      2. After the second beep, release the remaining buttons.

    The reset is successful when the watch completes the power-on process and goes through the initial setup. If you don't see the initial setup, try the steps again.

    BUT: from what I read here often I'd still say that your up button is gone. However:if you contact Garmin Support they will have you doing a factory reset anyway so you don't loose anything by trying. 

  • Thanks for the tip. I finally decided to call the Customer Service and I sent the watch in for a button repair, I received a confirmation of the repair and it should be back to me in the next few days
