Map Sync Failed

I'm received "map sync failed" when charging the fenix 7 pro via USB connected to a Laptop.

In other posts it is suggested to use Garmin Express. However, this is not an option as Garmin Express only runs on Microsoft based Windows machines. (hey Garmin, we have the year 2025 an still unable to provide a Linux based version?)

How can I resolve this "Map sync failed"?

I'm very disappointed and more generally, it seems latest Garmin software holds more bugs. Fenix 7 Pro might be the last Garmin purchase in my Garmin collection if this is not be fixed.

Linux has just scraped past the 5% share of desktop OS. I'm happy that Garmin concentrate their efforts on supporting and developing for the overwhelming majority of users rather than a niche group.
