Incorrect personal best

Hi All

Just yesterday i ran my personal best 10 km run with a time 54:42 but for some reason in my Personal Best this run shows time 55:22 with average pace 5:32 /km.
This is the time of the overal run which just by margin exceeds the 10 km. The average pace of the toal run 10,13 km was 5:28 /km (GAP 5:27 / km) but not 5:32 /km.

10km @ 54:42 is correctly shown at Strava app.

Previous PB was listed correctly with the time reached at 10 km. Previous PB I ran fith Fenix 7 Pro SS using firmware 17:28. New PB with firmware 21.19.Dont know if this is firmware related.

Has anyone had a similar experience?

Yes, everyone who's run is close to the record distance, since it is the way it is designed to work. If you want that the watch detects the fastest 10k within your run, the run must be significantly longer than 10k. If it is close, the total distance is used. That's because records are often done during competitions, where the official distance may not 100% match the distance measured by the watch. If you want to avoid it, simply run, jog or even walk a bit more (not sure exactly how much, but I think 10% could be enough), and the fastest 10,000 m will be used. You can also edit the record manually. Or you can trim the run to the exact distance of 10k in Garmin Connect, and assign the PR manually anew.
