My Garmin Fenix 7 Pro Sapphire Solar is not functioning properly. The buttons have become unresponsive or stopped working altogether.

I received a Garmin Fenix 7 Pro Sapphire Solar refurbished unit as a replacement, but it has shown serious issues from day one:

  • It came with data from a previous user, which clearly suggests it wasn’t in proper condition.

  • It frequently restarts during activities like hiking, open water swimming, and trekking. It fails to save routes properly or detect environment changes (water/land).

  • Battery life is significantly shorter than my previous watch (8–12 days vs. 15–20 days with the same usage and settings).

  • Buttons become unresponsive after long sessions, especially after swimming or hiking. The watch freezes or lags heavily.

  • Customer support doesn’t respond to phone calls, and the return process is frustrating and slow.
    I take great care of my devices and have never installed anything that could void the warranty. I expected more reliability from a premium device like this.
