Hi everyone,
I’ve recently been experiencing an issue with Auto Lap while pool swimming using my Garmin Fenix 7.
What happens:

For example, if I swim a 1000m session, the watch correctly shows 1000m when I finish.

Then I stop for a few seconds to drink water at the pool wall.

After a short pause, the total distance automatically drops back to 980m — the last lap seems to disappear.

When I check the details on Garmin Connect later, I see that the last lap was (maybe) merged into the previous lap. So instead of having two separate laps (e.g., Lap 49 = 20m, Lap 50 = 20m), the previous lap shows a double time.

The final distance still shows missing meters because of this merge.

I didn't encounter this situation before.
Now I fix my mistake by manually pressing pause at the end of a set.
