I have a Garmin Fenix 7 pro solar sapphire since November 2024. This is a very capable device but it is unfortunately riddled with bugs. I won't list them here but I have had any kind of electronic devices in my life and I have never experienced something like this. Lately I have experienced a particularly nasty bug: I can't get Garmin Express to detect and download map updates. The watch says that updates are available and asks me continuously to download them. Yet, Garmin express doesn't seem to detect them. I tried to download them per WiFi, but the watch downloaded like 4MB in 1 hour. After that I stopped the download and resetted the watch (the 4th time since I bought it). After resetting the watch, my backup was somehow not restored so that I have to customise the watch anew. Moreover, the battery went from 80% to 0% in like 3 hours and the watch just died. I am at my wits end. I will never buy Garmin again. I know, I did a big mistake buying a Fenix 7 pro. I had high end Suunto watches before and never had such problems. It's unfortunate. Can anyone relate?
