Fenix 7 Solar Sapphire - 21.19 - Music Volume Problem

Just updated to 21.19 and now my headphones only get half as loud as it used to. I’ve done a hard reset, a soft reset, loaded from a back up, and the problem still exist. I disconnected and reconnected the headphones several times as well. Nothing seems to work. Am I missing anything?

force restart, this was the solution for this issue during Beta

Long press Light button (upper left) until shutdown
then short press to start

Hello. I am sorry to hear you are having this issue. I would love to help investigate this further.

If you have not already, I would recommend a powercycle on the watch. For this, hold the Light button, then select power off. And power on again.
Ensure the watch is on the latest SW version 21.19 with Garmin Express.
It this continues, I would recommend reinstalling the software version using these steps:

Hold the Menu button
Scroll down and select System
Scroll down and select About
Press the button roughly 8 times
Select Reinstall software

During Beta the issue or similar was reported but seems to be solved by headphone repairing or force restart the watch.

it was ok for me during Beta, but i did no do any check with 21.19Beta/Public, and i'm now also concerned.

symptoms

gauge is stuck (full or near to the max depending on the test below)
volume is not reacting to touch or watch button + or -
volume is ok on the headphone and can be + or -, but no GUI change for the gauge on the watch

try to
- Force Restart
- Shutdown
- Reinstall
- Change Music Provider, Control Phone to Amazon vice & versa

No Bug using Control Phone, i can manage music Volume from the watch as usual (touche and Button) and saw the gauge moving

The new release 21.19 for fenix 7 is a disaster! A lot of bugs , music volume does not work , battery drains very fast …

It’s the worst update to date for me. The other problem is, it’ll take Garmin forever to fix this update so I’m stuck with a broken watch. I’m tempted just to get rid of this and get an Apple Watch now.

Our engineers are aware of a concern that may prevent the controls on the watch from functioning, for things such as volume. This is a software related concern. So if you are experiencing this, you watch does not need to be replaced. They are expecting to have this resolved with a software release, as early as mid-late June.

i have done some tests under the new beta 22.xx with the specific fix listed.

22.05 beta solved it for me.

it works as expected now, not sure when it will be released, beta is by Quarter, so it should be in august.

But now that Fenix 7 Series are in maintenance state, maybe this could be released to public a bit earlier.
