the latest v21.19 update seems bricked my fenix 7 pro solar sapphire

.. having really hard time with this series - the original bought from Garmin online store in September 2024 I had to replace in Feb 25 due to sensors mailfunction - GPS/ Altimeter. The replaced unit started to freez ocassionaly after two weeks of unboxing, but couple of factory resets seems mitigated that issue. But today with new v21.19 update incoming it turned watches into shiny brick with heavy 800e price tag. In comparision the old fenix 6 pro still up and running after 5+ years of daily usage and regular pools and open water sessions.

    Yeah I don't feel confident updating when my watch seemingly works fine (F7SS, approx 7% drop a day with no activity). Thought about an F8SS but until all these issues are solved I'm not. Even looked at a Coros Vertix!

    Hello

    I am sorry to hear you are having this issue. If the watch is not responsive, I would first recommend trying the following steps:

    • Ensure the watch charging contacts are clean, and try connecting with the power cable. 
    • While connected, try powering the watch.
    • If this continues, I would recommend factory reset with these steps: 
    1. Ensure the watch is powered off.
      • You may need to hold LIGHTfor up to 30 seconds to turn the watch off.
    2. Press and hold BACK and START/STOP.
    3. Press LIGHT to power the watch on while holding these two buttons.
    4. After the first beep release START/STOP.
    5. After the second beep release the remaining button.

    If you are still having trouble, I would recommend reaching out to Garmin Product Support.

    thanks, appreciate your respone, those instructions might be found helpful by others. in my case because watches was sill on warranty i just contacted support and they arrange free exchange straight away.
