Hello 1361809
We are sorry to hear about the issue you are reporting. The skin irritation may be a result of build-up on the watch band and/or casing. You should discontinue wearing your watch until your skin has healed. Please review the following FAQ that provides important information regarding the wear and care of your Garmin watch: https://www.garmin.com/watch-fit-and-care/. If you feel that this issue warrants further discussion please reach out to Garmin Product Support via our Garmin Support Center.
I have thw same issue. After wearing partly almost 6 months .
This is a common problem with watches in general as you can have bacterial buildup under the band. It generally happens more with silicon bands and less with bands that breathe like the titanium, stainless and nylon bands. Moisture can build up under the band, particularly if you shower with your watch. One approach is to not take it into the shower with you while another would be to dry the watch off after a shower.
I often change the band after a shower switching to a dry one.
It can help to clean the band from time to time.
For healing the skin, what has worked for me is to wear it on the other wrist, tape the area, use a skin recovery and protecting product (I use Burt's Bees hand salve).
