I’ve been a long time Apple Watch user, but my friends all have Garmin watches and I’ve been super impressed by the insights, run coach, and battery life so I made the switch and got the Fenix 7s Pro.
I am currently very out of shape and trying to get back into running. I’ve run 4 times with the watch on a slightly hilly route less than 2 miles and my pace has been 12-15 mins per mile and I am very tired and trying my best. My garmin watch though keeps calculating my VO2Max at 49, and has my predicted 5k time at 24 mins. I am a 28F with a BMI of 20. The watch also recommends “an easy run of 30 mins at 10 min pace” which is impossible for me to attain right now. My watch also keeps increasing my MHR after runs (right now they have it set to 205) and I can’t get it into zone 5 even if I try running very hard.
I’m pretty discouraged so far because I feel like all of the insights are really inaccurate and when I’ve tried out the run coach it’s impossible to achieve and those were 2 main reasons I purchased the watch.
