Map Manager crash when adding Outdoor Maps+

Anyone using using Oudoor Maps+ on Fexnix 7 Pro or similar? I have some problems with navigating, so decided to reset the watch and load the backup. Everything went fine - exceot that now I cannot even add a new map as the watch crashes and immediately restarts while seraching for available maps.

I didn't know these expesive maps do not even work ...

  • I just started having this issue on a Tactix 7 in the past few days as well. Factory reset didn't fix it.

  • I’ve been experiencing a similar issue for 9 months already — ever since I bought the subscription. Sometimes, the device (Tactix 7 Pro) reboots during Outdoor Maps+ data updates (only those maps, not others), and sometimes when I try to download satellite images.
    Actually, I was never able to download the maximum square size of 2.8 km^2 — only up to 1.5 km^2.
    However, a few days ago, I found that I can't even update map data over Wi-Fi anymore — it always reboots.
    I reported this problem to Garmin support, and after some back-and-forth, I realized they don’t actually care. I pointed out several obvious issues, and they simply told me to contact my local distributor.
    This is ridiculous. They have clear software bugs, and they just ignore them.

    I have exactly the same problem with my Fenix 7x. I'm pretty sure it's been there since the last update. Hope they fix it with the next update. But that may take a while. Under these circumstances, it makes no sense to continue paying for the Maps+ subscription. Too bad Garmin, that's not going to work.

  • I think everyone who runs into this or a similar bug should report it to Garmin support. If enough people do that, maybe they'll fix it

    Thanks for the feedback. The problem would be solved by the last software update of the watch a few days ago. Thanks for the quick fix of the problem with the subsequent application of a software update. I hope that such problems do not show up regularly. I've already had several problems with maps+.
