Wrist Heart Rate still broken

Latest firmware, WHR still broken. Someome have similar issue?

  • With every update now I always do a nice hard reset, not only the one that can be done from settings, but also with the screen off and holding down the 3 buttons. I didn't do this before, neither with the old fr935 nor with the f7pro, but since Garmin now only releases bugs, I always format when in doubt, so I can see if it's a possible overwriting error or a real bug. Try it yourself, maybe you'll solve it

  • So, did that do anything to the wrist HR problem?

I do have the same problems, normally at the beginning of walks, here it was toward the end, after a short stop:

(in the background you see the pace)

  • I have this problem too. If the next version doesn't fix it, I'll go back to the older version of sw
  • With which version was it better? I had the problem ever since I got the fenix 7s pro (for which I don't get an older version in the beta forums).

  • 17.28 seems the best so far. I have the 7pro (47mm) but no FC problems, have you tried doing (as I wrote above) a nice hard reset? especially if you come from lots of overwritten firmware

  • No, I try to avoid having to set up everything again after a hard reset.

  • ah ok. However the settings are retained from the garmin backup once you synchronise with connect. In case you do the clean ‘clock off and press the 3 buttons’ hard reset, you will have to set, as in my case, the clock face downloaded from the store or re-download data fields from the store, but the settings like data pages, fc, brightness etc etc are kept.
If instead you reset from the clock settings it should keep everything you have now, including downloaded data fields, modified clock face etc etc.

Over the time the continuous updates can give conflicts without a good hard reset

  • Is that from your experience or a garmin info, too?

  • Would the connection to garmin connect as primary watch be automatically there or would it be as if I had a new watch?

I am not looking forward to set up my watch face with the data in it after every update.

Do you have a link where the 3 buttons are documented?

  • my experience... The only tedious thing I have to do (but I do the hard reset from clock off and with the 3 buttons) is that I have to set my clock   fields (which is downloaded from connectIQ) and add the 2 data fields from connectIQ, that's all I have to do, I have all my parameters set there, recovery times, threshold, vo2max etc etc (ah, the other thing I change is the background colour from white to black)

You have to pair the clock with connect again, it will tell you there is a backup and if you want to restore it (obviously do it from settings, it does it automatically anyway) and accept

for the 3 buttons, turn off the clock, hold down start/stop - back and then the light button, when you hear the first beep remove your finger from start/stop, at the second beep remove all your fingers anyway, if you want to be more comfortable, as first time do that from garmin settings =)
