TL;DR
I have a Fenix 7X Pro and a Fenix 7 Pro with identical setup and the 7 Pro even having less datafields installed, but the 7 Pro sometimes suddenly starts to drain the battery completely with no apparent reason. How to track down whats causing this?
After a charge cycle, the watch runs fine again with normal battery consumption, sometimes for a few weeks, until the problem occurs again.

I'm running a Fenix 7X Pro Sapphire Solar myself and my girlfriend is running a Fenix 7 Pro Sapphire Solar.
Both watches are configured almost identically, with her watch even having only a subset of the datafields installed that I use. So while I even use a CIQ watchface, she uses a standard Garmin one and I run some glances and datafields more, so she should have less reason for high battery consumption than I have.
Both watches are configured for maximum battery runtime and we do not use the cloud connectivity at all. So no syncing to Garmin, we only track activities on the watch and from time to time copy the files to our computers and import them into a separate offline analysis software. No bluetooth, no WIFI, no auto backup, sleep configured to 2:00 am until 2:01 am because we do not want it to interfere with our usage, no DND.

As said, both watches run on firmware 17.28 which is known to run very stable and they are configured identically wich only one accidental difference that I found today, on her watch DND was active for the sleep phase and inactive on mine, but that would have been for 1 minute as we configured it, but yes, that was one difference I found.
While my watch repeatedly runs 8-14 days depending on my usage for GPS tracked activities, my girlfriends watch has the same relative runtimes (relative to the reduced battery size due to being a Fenix 7 and not Fenix 7X size) but SOMETIMES, suddenly the battery drain increases extremely without any apparent reason.
I tried to upload a photo of battery graphy here but it didn't work, will try in a separate post. The graph shows a sudden steep increase of battery consumption and if I draw a line into the diagram, it appears as if it could have started at around 2:00 am which is my only hint, pointing towards something with sleep mode.
Did anyone experience the same and was able to track this down? I don't see any way to identify WHO consumes battery, just that the consumption increases and now since I switched DND off on her watch during this 1 minute sleep interval, we will see if this makes any difference but it could take some weeks to know, since the problem only occurs sporadically.
