Coming from a Fenix 6s Pro, I've just received my Fenix 7s Pro Solar. I like it so far, especially the touchscreen and flashlight. Battery life seems decent so far, especially during activities and when connected to a phone via bluetooth.
However, using watch as a regular fitness tracker, my old 6s showed 14 days battery life, where the 7s shows only 11 days. I have 24/7 HR on, and everything else (ECG, PulseOx, bluetooth, etc.) off or on manual activation only.
I know the 11 days correspond exactly with the spec for 'smart watch' use, but this is without the phone connected. The 6s has a spec of 9 days for smart watch use, but achieves 14 days without Bluetooth connection.
Using 24/7 HR, is 11 days indeed the maximum for the 7s? And if so, why does the 6s achieve a better battery life in this situation, using a less efficient chipset?
