No, your rendering is not normal. The map rendering has changed in the latest firmwares and is buggy. I still have older FW 17.28 and the map rendering (Topo Active Europe) of your neighborhood at the same zoom level looks OK.
Please report it to the technical support. If more and more users report the bugs, then Garmin is aware that the users are not satisfied.
