Hi, anyone who tried this software can tell us if this is finally stable software?
No restarts, no major bugs... I am at 17'28 software, still waiting for Garmin to release a stable version in order to update my watch.
Thanks for your help.

I installed version 20.22 three weeks ago. It worked fine for the first few days, then I experienced some malfunctions with my power meters and HRM PRO. I reverted to version 17.28, and everything was…
I was looking for an update because the watch stopped pairing with my Schwinn IC4 speed/cadence sensor. Got the update this morning, and it's still not able to find that sensor. Grrr.
There are still a few problems that most likely haven't been fixed:

-forums.garmin.com/.../20-21-battery-drain
-forums.garmin.com/.../beta…
afaic fixed the crashes/reboots, the automatic connection of the HRM (although yesterday it once lost connection for several seconds during an activity). I cannot say anything about GAP yet but iirc a user has reported it works now. I've never had other major issues w/ my watch (ymmv of course). DEM calibration issue is still there though.
I forgot to add that map rendering is much more responsive now so I guess something has been fixed.

updated it some hours ago, without trying any activity. tested map application a bit.
so far no issues encountered.
I upgraded this morning with about half a battery left (~6 days for 7S Pro SS), went for a run ~45 mins, didn’t check further, then after approximately 4 hours I got a low battery warning, so enabled battery savings and watch died in like a minute anyway. Charging now and hoping a restart will solve it.
Garmin-Laurie ^ There is still a problem with draining battery, this is another person who confirms this:

Please take a look at this bug

if the sensor is always present in your list of paired device, then try to delete it and pair again. some reports were done in this way.
I had already deleted it when the troubles started happening and was never able to add it back anyway. When I get back home, I'll try restarting the watch and try again. This morning, I tried looking for any sensor, and then specifically for speed/cadence.
Battery drain issue on my Fenix 7X PRO
Tactix 7 Amoled: I noticed changed behaviour after upgrade to 20.22 - in previous 20.16 version, it was possible to have AOD display even when watches were off-wrist (if you disabled the hear rate sensor). But after the upgrade the display remains on only for ~5 minutes and then it goes off. Very disappointed by this undocumented change
