Fenix 7X Solar - firmware 20.16 - Activity distance wrong

Hi, last wed I was forced to 20.16 update and imediately my outdoor (Walking) activity distance is shortening.

I have few regular dog walks repeated every week from last update, based on 1km lap notification which I remember where it should happen I immediatlly see extension of "lap". eg. my walk, which was tracked before update as 5.2 KM , this monday was 4.78 KM . and based on lap notification, issue happened between 3-4th km.

Because I'm replicating my data to Runkeeper, I have also found, that incorrect activity length was reported Runkeeper, but When i start editor of GPS Log in runkeeper, calculated activity length is updated to expected value 5.2 KM.

Issue doesn't look to be related to GPS/Location services itself, but more to some activity post processing.

I have the same problem, my routes are going down between 200m per kilometer (walking), today I measured the distance of my route on maps and I see a discrepancy of 5.23km vs 6.16km

This software update is an absolute disaster. It broke GAP, auto connect to sensor, the body battery widget on the watch an now this.

Please make sure to contact the support to make them aware of that additional bug.

I'm going to try downgrading to version 17.28 and see if this fixes it.

I tried to contact support via webform, web form submission don't have any response (after submission stays as before, no page refresh), so not sure if they received it.

In my case its more "funny", first part of walk is climb-up ( approx 120m/2km) and lap notifications are same as before, way back (same road) and from 3rd km length of 1km is extending.

No notification that the report was sent?

Do you have an ad blocker? Could it be causing any problems?

And what does the activity trace on the map look like? Maybe the watch reads GPS signals less often and "shortens" the route on bends because it doesn't detect the apex of the bend?

I have a similar issue but with indoor waking on my treadmill. My recorded speed, which used to be constant (it's a treadmill after all) is now fluctuating, all the way down to 0 mph before climbing back. Of course, my distance is taking a hit because of that.
