Feature Request: Rucking Activity on Fenix (7) Devices?

Will the rucking activity, that was introduced with the Tactix 8 Series, be available on Fenix 7 devices?

  • the F8 rucking profile on our F7 is working fine, screen are ver different from Hike, but i can't find the wieght pack option, and after sincyng the activity is shown as Hiking under Garmin Connect.

  • This is ludacris. So many other products have far better activity lists and their platforms are much easier to use. Something as simple as adding weightlifting activities. I can't just type in "Barbell Reverse Grip" to find the exercise. It has to be exactly how it's saved in the application "Reverse-Grip Barbell Bench Press". Sometimes spend 2 to 3 minutes trying to decipher what exercises might be saved as (not an issue on Whoop).

Now on my Fenix 7X Sapphire Solar watch doesn't have Rucking? And they refuse to add it when the software is already written for the 8? Honestly, this might be my last Garmin watch. I've been loyal to Garmin since 2013. Their inability to just be intuitive in their app is frustrating enough. No longer can I justify their price tags when I'll need to upgrade to the newest watch just to have updated information. I understand not making it a thing on the Fenix 5 and previous models, but the model prior to the newest is stingy. Get yourself a Whoop.

  • I was wrong, Garmin Connect correctly identify rucking Nerd

  • Please restate the steps you took to get this.

Are you saying on the stock F7 Firmware you have rucking in your activities?

  • you can contact me by DM on this forum if you wanna try it.

    • Is this what you get after editing the activity in Connect? You pack weight is zero, and what h what happens to the calories burned when you add the pack weight. According to my observation: nothing.
    • Yet there are many tools online where you can estimate the calorie amount. As far as I can see only f3b Outdoor app does this - albeit in a separate data filed, as Garmin's calorie field is not accessible to developers.
    • Pitty, eh?
