Why not an ECG app with Fenix 7 PRO also in EU? I am really disappointed that customers from the USA and some Far East countries can have the ECG, but not those from the EU!
Even more because customers with the cheaper Venu 3 have it

Garmin's application to FDA (US), TGA (Australia) and EU for approval of the ECG was based on the Fenix Pro Elevate 5 sensor and Garmin's software. Not enabling it for the Fenix Pro and Epix Pro lines…
Because Garmin prefer to push it to Fenix 8 Series (6 months old watch) instead of Fenix 7 and Epix Pro (18 months old).
that is insane and understable !

Garmin supports the creation of electro-waste. Because, of course, there will be many who buy the F8 just for this feature, they still have a working F7.
I activated the ECG by doing a "quick 5 min flight to the US" because I wanted to try, it works but it is useless for 99% of the people, you are not missing much tbh
I see! Actually a simple (not so much simple indeed) smartwatch cannot substitute a medical grade device, but I really don't understand the reason of a so different behaviour with similar markets. Once approved in EU market as medical device, and since it is enabled in USA and other Counties, I think that it should be interest of a serius Company to protect the customer's spending for a flagship watch.
Maybe they want to became more... chineese

Not enabling it for the Fenix Pro and Epix Pro lines in the EU and Australian markets is clearly to protect sales of the Fenix 8 line. This is extremely disappointing and ugly behaviour by Garmin's senior management.
It seems they consider European customers second class. I guess, soner o later, that EU customers will consider Garmin as a second class devices. Or maybe Garmin prefer dollars to euros?
