Garmin breathing rate

Has anyone observed a sudden surge in breathing rate after v20.14 update?

My weekly average has risen from 12 to around 17 breaths per minute.

I checked it manually and it is around 12.

My lifestyle hasn't changed.

I don't know. That is a Beta software version, and this is a forum for the general release software.

I've noticed the same since the update to 20.16. My averages have been the same and very stable for years, 12 to 14, but all of a sudden jumped to 18 to 20 just over a week ago.

It changed for me too. I think it happened after the firmware upgrade from 19.41 to 20.16, but it's not necessarily related to the firmware.

Not on my F7Pro. Same average than before the update.

But bare in mind, that there can be changes in such data... it could be an improvement of the breath rate alogrithm... but in your case it looks like a bad improvment.

Try this, clean the back of your watch (sensor area) and how hairy is you wrist? consider shaving a spot for the optical sensor

I am so glad that I found this thread. I was starting to worry that something might be silently not right with me and I should get checked out despite no discernible change to my health.

But it turns out it was just the stupid watch.
