Help! Have I lost this file? Won’t sync and just says invalid. Any ideas? When I went to click save it either crashed or the battery died.
2nd image, the steps and distance do show up for this week

Did you try a manual upload from your Garmin device to Garmin Connect Web? - How Do I Manually Upload an Activity I Recorded…
Another one that used this method and resolved my issue. I donated to the writer of the s/w as well. Made more complicated as I have a Mac but had to spin up a Windows VM so I could access the Garmin device…
Not sure, I’d just put the watch back on after a quick charge to see if that helped the above problem. My normal resting is around 42-45 so not much different anyway

If you get any message other than Import Complete, then there is a problem with the file. Attach it to this thread. We can take a look to see if it is repairable.

Seillogramp, I know this post is old but I hope you can help me as well.
i raced a 50k this weekend and when i hit save my watch shut off and it won’t sync my race. I used the fix tool thing everyone recommends and it saved to Strava direct but it still won’t let me manually upload to Garmin Connect. Any chance you can help me too?
I used the fix tool thing
Which one? My go-to lately is FIT File Viewer. Runs in the browser and require no additional software. If you're still unable to import the activity into Garmin Connect, attach the file to this thread. We can take a look to see if it is repairable.
FIT File Viewer fixed the issue. I tested your file, and it imported successfully into Garmin Connect.
