I have the same effect. I went running 3 times and the watch (Fenix 7) froze and then restarted.
Occurs when:
- Training started according to plan
- Route also called up
Occurs on all routes - independently. Frequent freezing and restart after approx. 1:15h.
Then in pause mode - can be restarted - but then compass orientation seems to have trouble finding direction.
The remedy is to place the screen not on the map, but on the numbers screen.

Today - New Update should fix the issue - not tested yet - but in hope :-)
My watch is on beta version 20.16 and still experiencing the same problems. On Sunday the watch restarted after 17,5 km and yesterday after 11 km. Hope GArmin will finally fic it before the spring marathons…
