I just got a replacement device for my brand new Fenix 7x pro solar, which I bought in october. The watch I originally bought had a mechanical issue with the charging connector so I got a replacement device. The device has no pre installed topographic maps.
I tried using the map manager on the watch as well as Garmin Express to download Topographic maps for Europe, but it does not work.
On the watch it says "searching for map update data" and after some seconds "Map synchronisation failed" after trying to download the maps directly on the watch.
On Garmin Express I am not offered any buttons in order to manage my maps as if the watch would not support maps. It just offers me to update in order to search for updates. Pressing that leads me nowhere
On the original watch I got it worked at least via Garmin Express.
