Fenix 7s Solar shuts off in cold weather

Hi. My Fenix 7s Solar has been randomly shutting off for the past few weeks, especially when exposed to the "cold" (temperatures still well above freezing!).

I first noticed this behavior about 6-8 weeks ago when I wanted to save a run, but since then I have also had several occasions where the watch just shut off in the middle of an activity (running, hiking, cyclocross). There was no direct correlation to the battery status, this happened at random points between 10 and 50 percent of the remaining battery life.

When I tried to restart it, it immediately shut down again. Activity was recorded until the watch shut down, and can be recovered afterwards.
Its software is up to date (19.41).

Sounds familiar, wasn't there an issue with cold water before?

There definitely was: for the Fenix 8 series. Apparently the latest software update (version 11.86 - October 2024) should fix this. Unfortunately, I don't know how this translates to the Fenix 7-series software versions, and my problems only started after the latest software updates.

On top of that, no water is involved and I am puzzled that this happens at fairly normal fall/winter/spring temperatures (5-10 degrees centigrade) in the northern hemisphere, and not anywhere near extreme cold conditions...

My Fenix 7s restarted 3 times during cold weather in one activity (9 hours) - battery was almost full the first time. With every restart the battery level fell about 10%! Additionally the height is now completely wrong - that did not happen in last winter!

Hi, I have had in these days the same issue for Fenix 7 ProSolar with running activity and today
it switched itself off and no more restart (I have opened another discussion here too).

I have to add, that it only happens, when I follow a course, so only when I navigate! It was two times near the same place! Maybe it is an issue with the map? Today I was running 16km without navigation, no problem!

I have the same problem with my Fenix 7s Solar. It seems to randomly shut down when it's cold and the battery is below 20% or so. When it shuts down, it refuses to start again until I plug it into the charger. Very annoying.
