Hi everyone,
My wife and I both have Garmin fēnix 7S Pro and 7X Pro Sapphire Solar watches, and we’re using them to help with our health and fitness. We do strength training 3 times a week for about 1.5 hours each session.
I’ve recreated our workouts in the Garmin Connect app so we can follow them directly on our watches (via Training & Planning -> Workouts -> Create a Workout). The setup works great for us, as I’ve created a "Round" for each exercise, followed by an appropriate "Rest" period. However, we’ve encountered a few challenges, and I’m hoping for some guidance:
1. Accidental Skipping of a Round (Exercise/Rest):
During a workout, my wife accidentally pressed a button, which caused the watch to skip the current round (exercise/rest) and jump to the next one. We couldn’t figure out how to go back to where we left off, so she had to stop and save the workout prematurely and then switch to "Free" workout mode to complete the session.
- Is there a way to go back to the previous round or re-do the skipped round without stopping the workout entirely?
- If this happens again, how can we recover and continue the session smoothly?
2. Default Screen During Workouts:
When doing a workout, the default screen during rest periods shows a list view of the current and next rounds. To get to the screen we prefer (the one showing the rest time countdown, heart rate, and next exercise), we have to scroll several times, which is frustrating.
- Is it possible to change the default screen during workouts to always show the rest timer and next exercise details instead of the round list?
- If not, is there any workaround to avoid seeing the round list screen?
3. Adding an Exercise Mid-Workout:
Occasionally, we decide mid-workout to add an extra exercise that isn’t in the planned session. After completing it, we’d like to continue with the rest of the original workout plan.
- Is there a way to insert a new exercise on the fly and then continue with the planned workout without ending the session?
Thanks in advance for any tips or solutions! Your help would be greatly appreciated!
