Straight Line Back to Start

Hi All. I'm trying to figure out how to create a straight line "Back to Start" course. The only options the "Back to Start" menu gives me is "Track Back" and "Route." The latter given you turn by turn directions on the nearest roads or trails, but what I'm looking for is a straight return to the start, even if that means heading off the trail. Any thoughts?

    Hi All. I'm struggling to figure out how to do any straight line navigation on my Fenix 7. When I pick a random spot on the map in "Navigation" and ask for a course, the watch gives me routing along the nearest trails and roads, which is not what I want. I just want a direct course, even if it takes me off trail. Thoughts?

    Just for clarification, I don't see a "Direct Routing" option in the settings.

    On my Forerunner 955, this option can be found under:

    Run Settings > Routing > Activity: Direct Routing

    The default value for that setting in the Run activity is Running & Walking. Some other options include Automobile, Motorcycle, Hiking, and Road Cycling.

    (No, it's not intuitive. Personally I would have implemented a separate toggle under the Routing Menu for Direct Routing, and when it's enabled, the Activity option would be hidden. As it is, you have to dig into the Routing > Activity menu to discover that Direct Routing is an available option there.)
