Experiencing disappointing battery life

I’ve recently felt that the battery life on my Fenix 7s is not so great. It’s a warranty replacement from Garmin, got in June last year. So under 1.5yrs. 

I have done a few trail runs lately with “Auto Select” and extrapolating the battery depletion/activity time, I’m getting around 11.5-12.5 hours. 

Of course there’s a bunch of variables, but even on the high end this is a 22% drop off the stated up to 16 hours.

anyone else seeing similar results? Thoughts?

  • Just the usual; sync with Express, remove old files from the watch (saved activities, courses, workouts), do a full reset to factory defaults and do not reinstall CIQ watchfaces, widgets and apps for a while. Give it a couple of charge/deplete cycles and see if it helps. If it does, add back CIQ apps one by one. If it does not help at all, if you still have warranty, get it replaced. No warranty, have the battery replaced by a jeweler, phone shop or someone else who can repair small electronic devices.
