I still have a 14% battery drain per day. I have the watch Fenix 7 standard. Now I have the latest updates v. 19.34. I have now turned off accident detection for all activities, so we'll see. Is there a solution?

Hello,
Our engineers are investigating battery drain concern with the Pro Fenix 7 series. So if you are having trouble with this, I would love to collect specifics of this concern. For this, I will reach…
Hi, Fenix 7 pro definitely has the battery drain issue too with 19.34. My consumption without any activity is 2 times more compared to before the FW released with fenix 8.
To my feeling is the battery drain higher since the update to 19.34. The battery drain about twice as it was before (about 8-10% per day iso 4%). (Fenix-7)
Thank you Jonasbergh. I have the Fenix 7X and am not enrolled in the beta program.
You can backdate any SW Beta or not. Download the FW for Fenix 7X and follow the instructions in the info file.
it does not avilable for F7XP
It Is soooo nice, that your engineers investigativní this problém. Butt many users have still problem with drain battery and problem Is still on the table. Sooo When will we finally get to see it? Thx?
I also have the problem of battery drainage with the F7 Pro SS.
Also on software version 19.34.
Yesterday I decided to downgrade back to 17.28. After I copied the two required files to the watch, the installation procedure went through, but upon completion, the watch got stuck at the “loading fit files” screen. So I did a quick online search. The solution was to press the two right side buttons together, right on the boot screen. After the first “beep” sound, you have to release the “Start” button, but continue to hold down the “Lap” button. After the second “beep” sound, you must also release this button.
The watch then reboots and probably performs a very hard reset based on this key combination.
Today I went on a ski tour in the morning and everything was working fine.
Immediately after the tour, the battery was at 95%.
Now, 10 hours later, I still have 93% left.
So it seems to be fine again at the moment.
Important:
One thing I recognized since the 18.xx updates is, that the normal watch face has an unusual behavior. Approximately every 1-2 minutes it seems as if the entire display rebuilds itself. So for maybe a tenth of a second the display goes blank, and then comes back normally.
I already reported this to Garmin. There is probably something wrong with this, maybe causing this extra battery usage.
Since I downgraded to 17.28, the watch face behaves as normal again. No more unusual dropouts.
I would wonder if anyone else here in the forum is experiencing the same weird watch face behavior.
You really have to stare at it for 2-3 minutes to be able to recognize this.
thank you, good to know, that's then i got on my enduro2 too.... i have fears updating, hope Garmin rolls out a good firmware soon..
if have the exact same watch as you, battery drains quicker than normal.
pulse ox is on manual
brightness at 10%
time out at 4 seconds
don’t know what is the problem
don’t know what is the problem
Can be plenty of things: decalibrated battery gauge, incomplete or failed and continuously repeating update or sync, overuse of some features (GPS, display, PulseOx, notifications, alarms, Wi-Fi, BT,...), Connect IQ apps or watchfaces, dirt between charging contact, corrupted firmware, malfunctioning hardware,... etc, etc. So telling which exactly is your case is difficult without eliminating one possibility after the other. Have a look at the Troubleshooting guide for high battery drain for some tips how you can do it yourself.
Update: Just got a confirmation email from Garmin support which is replacing my watch with a recertified one. Unfortunately no info on what the problem was with it.
