Fenix 7 Pro Solar stuck with "initialization" when pairing to Iphone with bluetooth

this watch lost the connection with my iphone, and always stuck with “initialization” during pairing with mobile phone.I tried all ways, power off/on watch/phone/ delete Bluetooth device in phone and try to connect it again, reset watch, factory reset watch, no possible recovery.

  • I have the same issue with my Fenix 7 Sapphire Solar. Nothing i’ve tried has fixed it.

  • Hello, I am sorry to hear you are having trouble pairing with the phone. For this, there are a few steps we would recommend trying.

    • Ensure the phone is on the latest OS version.
    • Ensure the watch software is up to date using Garmin Express.
    • Ensure the wireless software version is present. Menu, System, About, Scroll down. If this is showing as 0.00 this software is missing or corrupted. It may be possible to reinstall this.

For this, you can first try reinstalling the software version with these steps:

    1. Hold the menu button
    2. Select System
    3. Select About
    4. Press the Light button repeatedly
    5. Select Reinstall software

If this does not reinstall the wireless version, you can also try these steps:

    1. Connect the watch with a computer
    2. Launch Garmin Express
    3. Add the device
    4. Select Tools and Content
    5. Select Utilities
    6. Select Additional Software
    7. If the Wireless version is available, select to install this
    8. Disconnect and select to install the update
    • If the wireless version is present, use these steps to try pairing again from scratch:
    1. Uninstall the Connect Mobile app
    2. Clear the phone cache and history
    3. Ensure the watch does not appear in the phone's Bluetooth menu. If it is, please remove the device
    4. Powercycle the watch and phone. To do this, hold the Light button until this shuts off. Then power on again
    5. Reinstall the Connect Mobile app
    6. Try the pairing again ( Be sure there are no other Bluetooth enabled device nearby)
    • If pairing is still failing, you can try these steps for a factory reset:
    1. Ensure the watch is powered off.
      • You may need to hold LIGHTfor up to 30 seconds to turn the watch off.
    2. Press and hold BACK and START/STOP.
    3. Press LIGHT to power the watch on while holding these two buttons.
    4. After the first beep release START/STOP.
    5. After the second beep release the remaining button.

If there is not change, the device will likely need to be replaced. For this, I would recommend contacting Garmin Product Support.

  • nothing help from Garmin even they asked to me to send the watch to US by myself since i bought it from Amarzon US and they couldn't provide support locally. that's crash and unbelievable!
