Issue with Fenix 7 Sapphire Solar Disconnecting Headphones During Run

This is a known problem since release of the watch, many people have this issue. I believe some of the watches have bad quality BT module, thus connectivity issues occur for those people. Contact Garmin support and ask them for solution (not likely to happen) or replacement (if possible, that might solve the issue).  

I doubt that it's a hardware issue. I've had the watch since it launched, and this problem has never happened to me before.

It started with the last update, version 18.14. I hope Garmin support sees this and asks me to send them logs from the watch. :\

Maybe for you it is software only. But I saw last year when this same issue was discussed, everyone (including me) believed it was software related and Garmin representative suggested to the OP to ask replacement of the watch stating that they recognized that these issues are also caused by bad hardware. Who knows. Even Garmin does not know obviously, judging by persistence of this issue since release of the watch.

Thanks, Daniel, for bringing this up. I'm also having trouble connecting Bluetooth headsets to my Fenix 7 Solar Pro. The problem seems to be with Bluetooth v5.4, as v5.3 works fine. I tested two different Xiaomi earbuds: the Redmi Buds 5 (v5.3) paired successfully, but the Redmi Buds 6 Active (v5.4) paired initially and then disconnected after a minute or so. It kept reconnecting and disconnecting several times before eventually disconnecting permanently.

This is an expensive watch, so it shouldn't have such issues. Since the Redmi Buds 5 belong to my daughter, I'll use the Redmi Buds 6 Active with my Xiaomi Note phone (where they work fine) and get the Redmi Buds 5 Pro instead. They're IP54-rated for dust and water resistance, making them ideal for workouts. I just hope I won't waste my money again.

Same for me - Fenix 7, very disappointed - why cant Garnin get their device to connectv via BT?

Same issue with the Fenix 7 Pro Sapphire Solar with watch connection problem to earbuds, fine for the first 5 minutes or so but then signal starts dropping to the point you have to take our earbuds. No issue with the previous watch (garmin 745). Note link above not working please direct me to the solution
