Is it possible to change how Garmin saves activity names in Garmin Connect? For example, I’d like to duplicate the climbing activity and rename it to “Outdoor Climbing.” Every time the activity is saved, I want it to show “Outdoor Climbing” instead of the default “Climbing.”

Yes, in https://connect.garmin.com/modern/settings -> Display Preferences -> Activity Name, set to "Location & Device Activity Name".
I had the same intention. Unfortunatelly, the Activity Type stays according to the original activity as Indoor Climbing. Garmin does not have any activity type, that would correspond with Outdoor climbing.
