Cannot transfer music via garmin express to my device

Good evening. I Tried many time to transfer music from my PC windows  to my fenix7 x via garmin express  and I can't.

I find the file on PC and I check the blue file on garmin express  .I send them on my device as shown that ends the transfer but after that nothing appears to my device.

What can I do?

  • You could copy music directly to the device using File Explorer. I mostly use Spotify on my Garmin, but I do have some MP3s (mostly from youtube).

    - Copy your music files (e.g. MP3s) to the \Music folder on your device. (I like to create one subfolder per playlist, but you don't have to)

    - To create playlists, I create m3u playlist files by hand (in a text editor such as notepad, notepad++ or sublime text)

(Yes, I realize all of this is a pain, but it should work.)

    For example:

    (device files and folders)

    File folder /
    ┣ File folder Garmin/
    ┗ File folder Music/
      ┣ File folder playlist1/
      ┃ ┣ Random song.mp3
      ┃ ┗ Another random song.mp3
      ┗ playlist1.m3u

    (playlist1.m3u)

    playlist1\Random song.mp3
    playlist1\Another random song.mp3

  • Good morning and thank you.My device is fenix  7 x solar.

Can I do what you said to me without the garmin express app?

  • Yeah. What I described above is just manually copying music files to the \Music folder on your watch. Optionally, you can create playlist (.m3u) files manually as well.

Like I said, it's not very user-friendly, but it should work if you're not able to use Garmin Express.

On the other hand, before you try all of that, maybe we should make sure that the music you synced with Garmin Express really isn't on your device.

    On your Fenix 7X Solar:

    - hold the Down button for music

    - hold Up for settings

    - Select Music Providers

    - Select My Music

You should see a menu with items like "Play All Songs", "Playlists", "Artists", "Albums", etc. From here you should be able to play any songs that were copied to the watch either through Garmin Express or manually as I described above.

Furthermore, if you just look at the \Music folder on your device (using File Explorer on your PC, while the watch is connected with the USB cable), you should see whatever music was synced via Garmin Express.

  • Thank you. this was way quicker.
