Heart rate sensors are not tracking accurately. Fenix 7X shows my heart rate fixed around 139-145 bpm and does not change according to increased speed, elevation, exertion, etc. It used to be occasional since weekend it doesn't pick up rise in HR and stays fixed at 141/142, compared alongside my Venusq which tracks accurately. The heart rate was at least 15-20 mins lower than on Venu Sq, and much lower when compared with a medical pulse oximeter. On certain occasions, the heart rate stays around 139-145bpm and around half hour mark or more it abruptly goes to 160's and alerts me of high HR, even though pace, breathing, speed etc are steady. I did a 15k progression run, the watch did not detect variations in my HR and stuck to 143-145bpm (not cadence for sure), I tried on my Venu sq on the right hand and it showed variations on HR ranging from 140-180 bpm, which I found was tracking quick and appropriately. I train based on HR and understand chest strap is better, but this is disappointing considering the amount paid for Fenix 7X. I find the watch utmost useful, however, I am starting to doubt if all or any of my training data are accurate. I want to consider returning the device if this issue cannot be addressed. I am more than happy to give access and consent to access my Garmin Connect account for garmin to investigate the matter. I have already explored the FAQ'S and various forums, do regular software updates, switched the device on and off, factory reset etc. I am wearing the watch as recommended, not too tight but snug. I am astounded that my Venu sq can do better HR tracking compared to my Fenix 7X. Any advise on fix please.
