Fenix 7 solar Firmware 18.14 bluetooth connection issue

Hello all.

Since new firmware 18.14, my BT connection is lost with my Android phone device (Pixel 8 Pro).
The watch is unable to sync with Connect app on my Android phone.

When I try to force a sync, it do not work.

We can see on this graph that there was no sync from  approx.12h till now approx. 22h, despite my sync forced manually all along the day.


To get working again, I need to power off / power on the watch and after boot it sync automatically

What I can also see is that when the sync is ok, the real time HR rate is not real time on the android Garmin app... Sometimes HR value is fluctuating, and sometimes it remains on the same value and suddendly it fluctuates again... This was not the case before firmware update.

    I am sorry to hear you are having trouble with the Bluetooth connection. For this, there are a few steps I would recommend trying initially. 

    1. Ensure the phone is on the latest SW version
    2. Uninstall the Connect Mobile app
    3. Clear the phone cache and history
    4. Ensure the watch does not appear in the phone's Bluetooth menu. If it is, please remove the device
    5. Powercycle the watch and phone. To do this, hold the Light button until this shuts off. Then power on again
    6. Reinstall the Connect Mobile app
    7. Try the pairing again ( Be sure there are no other Bluetooth enabled device nearby)

    If this issue continues, I would recommend trying a factory reset with these steps: 

    1. Ensure the watch is powered off.
      • You may need to hold LIGHTfor up to 30 seconds to turn the watch off.
    2. Press and hold BACK and START/STOP.
    3. Press LIGHT to power the watch on while holding these two buttons.
    4. After the first beep release START/STOP.
    5. After the second beep release the remaining button.

    If this issue continues, I would recommend reaching out to Garmin Support

    This new watch comes after my dead Fenix 6 due to altimeter issue...

    When I got this new watch (an already used one I baught from a guy), I already did a RESET and it was working perfectly.
    Now, after last firmware update, I got BT issue when I put my phone device in Airplane mode after deactivating the airplane mode. In this case no sync available with the Android Garmin application.
     -> So I need either 
     - Power-off / power-on the watch 
    or
     - Disable BT on phone device then enable again BT on phone device.

    After that, sync is working

    I also got sinc issues sporadicaly during the day...

  • I have a Fenix 7 and after the new firmware 18.14 it desn't syncronize. I've removed the app in my iPhone and reinstalled again and now it works.

    Since last firmware realsed 2 days ago (v18.16), it seem working correctly now. I didn't get BT sync issue since this new firmware.
