When I try to put some zip files on my watch, the files are gone the next time I connect my watch.
Is there a special folder for this? This because I want to use my watch also a USB stick. It has storage enough.

I believe I dumped everything in Music folder and it worked
It works with MTP (media transfer), not as USB mass storage. I am not sure if non-music files are deleted, but if they are, you could rename the file from .zip to .mp3, however it may cause unpredictable side effects with the built-in music player or the storage integrity checking that runs regularly. Causing reboots or out of memory and fun things like that.
Back in the days of the Fenix 3 I stored my Keepass database on it, but back then the watch connected as a mass storage device.
Ah, glad to hear that worked. Good place for my Keepass database too then!
When I place it in the Music folder the files are gone after a next connection.
When I make a new folder <Backup> it worked it also worked in the root folder.
I will give a update if the files are still there after a update of the software.
Why create "new folder"? Music folder should be already there.
I am not totally sure, but it may very well be that the watch purges any non-media files from the Music folder, so these won't accidentily get used by the music player.
That's pretty much strange, but may be so.
Haven't used it for a while, but checked my random files in <root>/Garmin folder are still there, so as files in Music folder
