keeps rebooting after update to 18. Worked perfectly with 17.X

Prior to the last 2 system updates, my Fenix 7 SS ran perfectly. Since the last couple of updates (18xXX), if I make any changes, I end up in a continual reboot loop. The only solution is to do a complete reset. This has been happening on an almost daily basis for the past week.

I am sorry to hear you are having this issue. If you experience this issue, this can likely be resolved with a Full factory reset on the watch, with these steps:

Ensure the watch is powered off.
- You may need to hold LIGHTfor up to 30 seconds to turn the watch off.
Press and hold BACK and START/STOP.
Press LIGHT to power the watch on while holding these two buttons.
After the first beep release START/STOP.
After the second beep release the remaining button.

Once reset, you will want to remove the watches from your Connect app. And you will need to pair the watch with the phone again. If prompted you can use the restore backup.

I have reset it MANY times using this procedure - yesterday was the latest until this morning. This morning, I added "Health Snapshot" to my favorite activities - no problem. But, then I did a Health Snapshot and at that point, the watch went into the reboot loop. My only solution is to do a reset using your procedure.

Once again, I follow I follow your procedure to reset everything. Now I wait to see how long the watch correctly functions.

Within an hour, of resetting the watch using your procedure. Not doing anything except showing time. It started rebooting itself and is in a continual loop of rebooting. Time for another complete reset.

Hello kgolde

Did you also remove any paired watches from the Connect app, before pairing again, after you reset? If so, it is likely the watch will need to be replaced. For this, I would recommend contacting your local Garmin Product Support here: https://support.garmin.com/es-ES/ql/

I did remove the watch from my iPhone 13. So everything is reset.

I am currently in West Africa, so there is not a local Garmin support.

Reading through some of the other issues listed, I am wondering if the issue is related to Garmin Explorer. I have not used Explorer since the last watch reset and have been a whole day without any problems.

I had previously been using Explorer for waypoints and navigation when I was having issues with the watch rebooting.

I will give it another few days without using Explorer and see how it goes.

The watch is not rebooting anymore. But, my Garmin Explorer has 20 - 30 waypoints, but none of them show up on the watch atter a sync.

check main settings ->"Map" to see if by any means "User locations is on (green).

It's happend to me once.
