I am one of many people struggling with my Garmin Fenix 7x solar. The watch is brand new and has the latest software installed. Garmin Express is also up to date.
I tried to install the Western Europe topoactive map - Garmin express says it is installed, but my watch says it is "queued". When I tap on the screen I get the message -"map download in progress....cancel all current downloads?...." I spent over 9 hours downloading this map only for it to stop at 90% + and then revert to 31% downloaded.
The hard drive on my watch has been reduced by over 4GB so the software must have been installed.
All course views maps now also show updates available on the watch, but Garmin Express says they are up to date when synced.
I have a very fast 1GB internet connection, but the download took hours.
Please help resolve this issue. It seems to have been going on for many months looking at the forums, with no resolution.
There seems little point in releasing new hardware if software issues remain prevalent and unresolved.
