How to disable audio notifications when following a course

Hello,

In the Garmin Connect app I disabled all audio notifications. Still, when I'm walking a course with intermediate waypoints, I get a voice notification (female, English) when I approach a waypoint.
I want to disable this, how to do?

I use the Fenix Pro Solar Sapphire and the garmin apps (Explore, Connect, Connect IQ) on an android Samsung Galaxy S23.

Thank you in advance.

  • In case you are referring to the voice that comes from your phone, you cannot really disable it. You could turn down the media volume on your phone as workaround, or you disable turn prompts completely on the watch, but this will not disable voice prompts that are not related to turns.

  • it's one of the new feature, or bug you can choose.

Garmin is working on it, but when it will be fixed ?????????

  • Thank you, that works. Not if I've connected my earbuds for some music, then the voice is coming through my ears...

  • Same for me. It seems like that we cannot just disable audio prompts like before. The only solution is to disable all alerts in the navigation settings.

However this also disable vibration and sound cues which are important (at least for me). Garmin should sort this out ASAP and add an option to the Audio prompt menu to allow disabling the prompts for navigation without effecting the audio and vibrations cues.

It would be even better if they can add two options there. One for all voice prompts and the other to choose whether or not it should only effect the smartphone or headphones if connected.
