Fenix 7 does not organize waypoints/POI according to collections

Yes! Nice idea! I often delete all of my old POIs before heading out on big hikes just to reduce the confusion. Grouping then by category (hike or trip name) would be great!

Yeah that is one use case to group them for a specific trip. But as you described you can just sync your current trip as a workaround. I have some static POI, which I want to have with me all the time (e.g. tube vending machines on bike trips). This use case is really not possible with current implementation. If I would have a flat tire, I would now see all my custom POI around me and would not know which one is a tube vending machine.

You can select several collections at the same time. Create a "static POI" collection that contains all your permanently available POIs and synchronize it with your devices.

Lemme summarise.

Keule: I want a way of grouping POI on the watch.

Bluefish: You can use Garmin Explore (app) to put your POI into collections and sync the required collections over when needed.

Yep, you're both right. It'd be really nice to be able to group collections directly on the watch though so you don't have to do the deleting/syncing dance with Explore in order to keep it all tidy.

You are right, probably not. It was a try, but instead of upvoting new features, community tries to find solutions where none are.

Actually Bluefish replied to the static POIs. I do not have a synchronization problem and know how collections work. It is just a simple need, that things are orgnanized under their collection name. E.g. when I click on Around Me I need to be able to select a collection. But at the moment all user POIs are just in one list "other".
