Step tracking during certain activities

I went boating all day today, literally couldn't have stepped more than 5000 times yet I'm at 20000, can we get a setting to disable steps during some activites.

Steps are not counted during the following activities, so you could perhaps choose one of them, and change it to Boating later in Garmin Connect:
