Weather widget keeps disconnecting

Hi all,

I had the same problem with Fenix 6 Pro and have the same problem with Fenix 7 Pro.

The weather widget still loosing connection with Garmin Connect App on my iPhone 13 Pro and I need to run the app to refresh it. This is very annoying.

Is there any solution for that? Location "Alway On" in Weather app and Garmin Connect is not helping.

I am sorry to hear you are having trouble with this. For this, I would recommend trying these steps initially.

Ensure the phone OS is up to date, and the Connect app is on the latest version.
Be sure the location permissions are enabled for the Connect app Always.
Be sure to leave the app open and running in background.
Do not use any low power mode of battery saver settings on the phone.

Thank you for your answer. I was testing the below and it helps, however I dont think it should work like that, to be forced to keep the app running all the time. This isssue persist since I remember (5 years). Is it something Garmin plan to fix in the future?

How do you expect the watch to get weather if GC is not open and running in the background?

What about to keep ON the settings “keep the app running in the background”?

Which should help to keep the app running in the background even the app is not open.
