Loose charging cable

Give the cleaning port a clean with a toothbrush - there may be debris in the port stopping the cable gripping completely in

I have just tried, the cable is always "feeling" loose but at least it doesn't disconnect from now... I'll wait for my replacement to be sure.

Over time a cable does get a little looser in feel, but it shouldnt disconnect - hopefully you'll get better connections

That was the case with my oem cable too on a Fenix 7 Sapphire Solar. I used a tweezer to pinch the metal together on the straight sides of the cable connector head (the part that connects to the watch). That made the cable connection firm again. 

Its often the little spring clip in the cable that wears out over time than than the port on the watch wearing out.

If a Garmin product guy is reading this: I'd love Garmin to give the Fenix the magnetic charging connector seen on the Marq series
